Nothing Brave About Homophobia

The Atlanta Braves put pitching coach Roger McDowell
on administrative leave Friday while they investigate he
made homophobic comments & crude gestures toward fans
before a game in San Francisco last weekend. McDowell is
also accused of using a baseball bat to threaten a fan who
objected to his actions. The former major league reliever
apologized in a statement but the team barred him from
the bench heading into a 3 game series against St. Louis.
GLAAD called on the Braves to take disciplinary action
against McDowell on Wednesday. Earlier this month,
GLAAD worked with the NBA & Los Angeles Lakers after
Kobe Bryant shouted an anti-gay slur at a referee.
Recently, GLAAD worked with the New York Yankees &
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to address issues
of homophobia in sports. After working with GLAAD, the
New York Yankees adopted a new policy that strictly
prohibits anti-gay slurs in Yankee Stadium.

Rosie O'Donnell Shuns Donald Trump

Exclusive Audio Montage with Boston LGBT
Film Festival Insiders, Filmmakers, LGBT Leaders

& Allies @ Debut Party
@ OUTTAKE VOICES™

Rosie O'Donnell is using her celeb & joining GLAAD
(Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) in
boycotting anti-gay real estate tycoon Donald Trump.
O'Donnell stated she would not be renting at a Trump
property. After her feud with Trump on The View a few
years back this isn’t really surprising. As we reported last
month Trump has been throwing our LGBT community
under the bus in his bid for President. New York City
based gay activist Allen Roskoff called for a boycott of
Donald Trump's business interests. The homophobic
Trump stated, “New York is a place with lots of gays &
I think it's great but I'm not in favor of gay marriage.
They should not be able to marry. As of this moment,
I would say no to gay marriage & civil benefits for gay
couples.” Updates to Come…:)

The Stonewall Riot on PBS

Let’s face it the reason Congress wants to cut finances for
PBS is to keep the American people from seeing important
documentaries like Stonewall Uprising. In 1969 every state
except Illinois had laws on the books that allowed police to
raid gay bars & haul suspected gays & lesbians off to jail.
Even in New York's Greenwich Village, raids & arrests
were commonplace. However when the Stonewall Inn was
hit in 1969, the lesbians & gays did something they had not
done before, they fought back. PBS' American Experience
series is airing a must-see documentary about the event
called Stonewall Uprising. Filmmakers Kate Davis & David
Heilbroner (Adolescent Addict, Jockey) interview some of
the people who were actually inside the bar & on the streets,
giving an up close & enlightening view of the event.

Happy Gay Easter

Lady Gaga released the video for her provocative single,
“Judas,” this Easter. From wearing see-through nun habits
to suggestively swallowing a rosary, the pop star, who was
raised a Catholic, has consistently pushed her faith’s strict
sexual conventions. Lady Gaga may offend some Catholics
with her support for gay equality but a recent study shows
that today’s Catholics are the most progressive Christians in
the country regarding gay equality & even more open than
Americans in general. 74 % of American Catholics surveyed
supported the rights of same-gender couples to marry or
form civil unions. Happy Easter to Our LGBT Community…:)

Sex in the Catholic Church

In his new book "Sex and the Vatican: a secret journey in
the reign of the chaste", author & investigative journalist
Carmelo Abbate claims that thousands of Catholic priests
are in illicit relationships with both men & women in
contradiction of the Vatican's teachings on celibacy &
homosexuality. The book claims that some priests pay
ex-lovers hush money so as not to be found out while
others quietly support their illegitimate children through
school. Carmelo Abbate spent months undercover
documenting a "hidden world" in which heterosexual
priests have children with women who can never be their
wives & gay priests of many different nationalities visit
nightclubs in Rome & pay for sex with escorts. The book
was published in Italian but 2 British publishers are
interested in buying the rights. Updates to Come...:)

Gay Ally Daniel Radcliffe Speaks OUT

You have to love the new generation of celebrities like
Daniel Radcliffe. He’s an active gay ally for LGBT rights
especially for LGBTQ teens with his work for the Trevor
Project & when asked who he admires he stated our
gay ally Lady Gaga for her outspoken strong stand on
LGBT Equality. Radcliffe stated, “I mean, she has a
slightly more flamboyant way of putting her point
across than I would & it suits her a lot better than it
would me. But we're both aiming for the same thing.'
Daniel Radcliffe is currently starring in "How to
Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" on
Broadway......:)
