Unfortunately it seems we’re dealing with the new
Anita Bryant of the 21st century. Michele Bachmann
is pumping up her presidential bid with an anti-gay &
anti-choice campaign by signing a controversial pact
that actually implies that African American children
were better off during slavery than they are under the
Obama administration. The manifesto from homophobe
Bob Vander Plaats is filled with anti-gay paranoia who
once said, "If we’re teaching the kids, 'don’t smoke,
because that’s a risky health style,'the same can be true
of the homosexual lifestyle."
Bachmann in the tone of the homophobic Anita Bryant
wants to make sure our LGBT community never achieves
equality in America. As you know Bachmann is no stranger
to anti-gay rhetoric. Marcus Bachmann, husband-strategist
last year on Christian Radio claimed homosexuals were
barbarians who need to be disciplined stating, "We have
to understand: Barbarians need to be educated. They need
to be disciplined. Just because someone feels it or thinks it
doesn’t mean that we are supposed to go down that road.
That’s what is called the sinful nature. We have a
responsibility as parents & as authority figures not to
encourage such thoughts & feelings from moving into
the action steps."

View Our Historic Short Trailer on Gay Marriage
On matters of marriage and the family, Michele Bachmann has the choice to live her life however she sees fit. However, living in a free society means that she has to accord the same freedom to everybody else. The agenda proposed by this pledge is big government at its worst. From attacks on first amendment freedoms to demeaning female servicemembers to insidious slurs against gay and lesbian families, the Family Leader pledge is fundamentally anti-American and should be ignored by any serious presidential contender. Our nation is confronting serious issues at home and abroad. The last thing we need is Michelle Bachmann or any other politician dictating how we live our lives.
