For his next album George Michael will feature artists
who are gay or gay allies. Back in May we covered a story
that since his arrest he wanted to make amends to the
LGBTQ teens he’s disappointed over the years. He feels
that plans to record an album with a ‘gay collective’ is a
gesture to make up for “letting gay kids down”.
George will also be using his influence to push forward
some relatively unknown musicians. He added that
LGBTQ kids had to witness the “homophobia” directed
towards him every time he slipped up & added that his
controversies had prevented him from defending the
rights of LGBTQ community. Hey you never know...
maybe he’ll appear on Glee….:)

For this album I’m going to be working with either gay or gay friendly artists, and it’ll be a mixture of tracks sung by me and others by young gay artists – possibly unknown ones. And I’ve lined up some really great dance producers to work on it too, so it’ll be a pretty stunning record. I’ll be 48 when the album comes out, but I have to say that gay men’s relationship with dance music probably doesn’t end at the same time as straight people’s does!
