It’s so sad & disturbing that music legend Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48. The singer who was best known for singles ‘Saving All My Love for You,’ ‘How Will I Know’ & ‘I Will Always Love You’ was pronounced dead at 3:55P Saturday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "We received a call at 3:43 p.m. from hotel security & Beverly Hills Fire & police responded minutes later," stated Beverly Hills Police Lt Mark Rosen. "It's unclear who notified hotel staff because she has quite an entourage here at the hotel. We attempted to resuscitate her, to no avail." The cause of death is unknown at this time. As for signs of drug use or foul play, Rosen added, "We don't know yet, her death is under investigation." Music mogul Simon Cowell stated, “Whitney Houston's death is one of those events where you remember what you were doing when you heard the news. It's that significant. I'm so sad for her. She was undoubtedly one of the greatest superstars of all time, one of the greatest voices in our lifetime we're likely ever to hear...." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer was due to appear at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party Saturday night. The article quotes someone close to Davis as saying, "This is a sad day & it will be a sad Grammys weekend." Sources say Jennifer Hudson will perform a tribute to the singer at tonight's awards.
