PRIDELIGHTS A Boston Gay Pride Tradition

By Charlotte Robinson, June 05, 2012
Club Café invites you to kick off your Pride at the tree lighting ceremony presented by AIDS Action Committee, Harbor to the Bay & Bay Windows on Tuesday June 5th from 6:30 to 9P. Since 1993 The PRIDELIGHTS Tree Lighting has been an established tradition for the Boston LGBT community. At dusk the giant light switch is thrown to light up a 60 foot pine tree covered in pink lights in front of the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street. The tradition lives on with the 19th annual Celebration of Community with Music & Entertainment hosted by the legendary VERNA TURBULENCE & a cavalcade of the city’s best & most talented drag performers. When attending all the Pride events this week Club Café is a Boston LGBT destination located at the hub of Boston's chic South End neighborhood. Part nightclub, part video bar, part restaurant, Club Cafe stirs up an unpretentious mixture of dining, dancing, socializing & people-watching in a relaxing & inviting atmosphere.
