LGBT InterPride Conference In Boston

Boston Pride announced the keynote speakers for the three main events at the Annual World Conference of InterPride in Boston this week. They include French activist Louis-Georges Tin; Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights & Labor in the U.S. Department of State Dr. Daniel B. Baer & three of InterPride’s Co- Founders, Marsha Levine, Sharon Tobin and Glenne McElhinney. The 30th InterPride conference is hosted this year by Boston Pride at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, Oct. 3-7th. Tin will kick off the conference at the Scholarship Reception at the Massachusetts State House on Thursday, October 4th at the State House’s Grand Staircase at 7P. Dr. Daniel B. Baer will be speaking at The Conference Reception taking place on Friday, October 5th at Microsoft’s New England Research & Development (NERD) Center at One Memorial Drive in Cambridge, MA at 7:30P. Marsha Levine, Sharon Tobin & Glenne McElhinney will speak at InterPride’s 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on Saturday, October 6th at 7P. InterPride was originally created in Boston in 1982 after Pride organizers from Boston, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego & Los Angeles convened to form the National Association of Lesbian & Gay Pride coordinators. InterPride strives to create a world where there is full cultural, social & legal equality for all. InterPride hopes to raise awareness of cultural and social inequality through its network of Pride organizations & to effect positive change through education, collaboration, advocacy & outreach.
