WAFF Honors Adam Lambert

The We Are Family Foundation (WAFF) the nonprofit organization founded by legendary songwriter & producer, Nile Rodgers honored openly gay pop star Adam Lambert with the Unity Award at its annual Celebration Gala, on Thursday, January 31st at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. This was an event that I wish we could have attended to cover the Red Carpet for OUTTAKE VOICES. The evening was hosted by actress Rosie Perez & TourĂ©, co-host of MSNBC’s “The Cycle” & included a concert featuring Adam Lambert, Nile Rodgers & CHIC & special guests, Taylor Dayne, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz, Kathy Sledge, Sam Sparro & Russell Peters. WAFF is a NYC based nonprofit org dedicated to the vision of a global family by creating & supporting programs that inspire & educate the next generation about respect, understanding & appreciation of cultural diversity – while striving to solve some of our biggest global problems at the same time.
