Only LGBTQ Themed Holiday Movie

By Charlotte Robinson, December 11, 2019
With the holiday movie season in full swing only one movie “Season of Love” produced by Tello Films & DASH Productions presents something new & different to this holiday season, the first LGBTQ queer women holiday rom-com. The Hallmark Network rolled out 40 original holiday-themed movies this season. Shamefully none of these films included an LGBTQ main character & hate groups One Million Moms & LifeSiteNews are petitioning to keep it that way. Though Bill Abbott, CEO of Hallmark’s parent company Crown Media Family Networks claims that their network is open to any type of movie of any type of relationship in any space only “Season of Love” written by Kathryn Trammell & directed by Christin Baker is delivering a must-see lighthearted holiday rom-com featuring a large ensemble cast of diverse & queer women. “Season of Love” brings together actresses from classic LGBTQ films & current television shows including Dominique Provost-Chalkley ("Wynonna Earp", "Avengers: Age of Ultron"), Jessica Clark ("True Blood", "A Perfect Ending"), Emily Goss (“Snapshots”), Laur Allen (“Young and the Restless”), Janelle Marie & Sandra Mae Frank ("Deaf West's Spring Awakening", "Daybreak”). In a “Love Actually” type format this stellar cast explores their connected love lives during the hectic holiday period just before Christmas through the New Year who discover love truly is the best gift of all. “Season of Love” is a great holiday gift retailing at $14.99. I talked to Christin Baker about what she hopes to accomplish with this breakthrough queer holiday film in this exclusive podcast. LISTEN
