As we get out & vote in midterm elections Nov. 3rd I'm having flashbacks about how in 2024 all the polls were in favor of Harris like they were for Hillary Clinton in 2016 & look how that turned out. All the hype today is about the Blue Wave but that won’t happened if like minded Americans don’t get out & vote. Here at OUTTAKE MEDIA we can’t stress enough how important this election is for this country hanging on to Democracy & the Constitution by mere threads. Let’s keep up the momentum of the global removal of authoritarians in power. In April a pro-democracy coalition in Hungary ousted Viktor Orbán after 16 years in power. Recently a grassroots movement in Serbia beat Aleksandar Vučić the Putin-favored strongman who had run the country for 14 years & on the same day in Brazil Lula upended expectations to defeat Flávio Bolsonaro the right-wing fascist that imprisoned former president Jair Bolsonaro. Let’s crush this current regime electorally & do what Hungarians did to Orbán & Serbians did to Vučić. Remember winning back the US House & Senate is only the beginning of repairing the damage that has taken place in this country over that last 2 years. For our community the National LGBTQ Task Force has organized an election night streaming watch party via Zoom. Cathy Renna Task Force Director of Communications stated, “The watch party will run from 7:30P to 11:30P Eastern & we will spend the evening in community with friends, advocates & trusted voices who will help us make sense of the news, share thoughtful perspectives & stay grounded as the night unfolds.”
