Here's Al Gore's statement about supporting Gay Marriage....
“I think it’s wrong for the government to discriminate against people because of that person’s sexual orientation. I think that gay men & women ought to have the same rights as heterosexual men & women—to make contracts, to have hospital visiting rights, to join together in marriage, & I don’t understand why it is considered by some people to be a threat to heterosexual marriage to allow it by gays & lesbians. Shouldn’t we be promoting the kind of faithfulness & loyalty to one’s partner regardless of sexual orientation? Because if you don’t do that, then to that extent you’re promoting promiscuity-- you’re promoting all the problems that can result from promiscuity. And the loyalty & love that two people feel for one another when they fall in love ought to be celebrated & encouraged & shouldn’t be prevented by any form of discrimination in the law.”
Isn't it interesting how brave Al Gore can be when he's not running for office or is he......?? :)

Good for Al Gore, hopefully no matter what canidate gets elected assuming Mccain gets the republican nomination. Gay marraige should be leagalized, because... Mccain, Clinton, and Obama all say they want to leave the issue of gay marriage up to the states, by doing this they will eventually get gay marriage legalized, and in the case of Mccain they wont lose to many supporters. Here is why.... By leaving the issue up to the states you set the stage for a gay couple to get married in say Mass., but what happens if that gay couple moves to a state like Virginia that has outlawed gay marriage? Well Va can say we wont reconize you domestic partnership. The gay couple could then sue Va, the case would eventually make its way to the supreme court, they would have to rule under the full faith and credit claus (any contract made inanother state must be reconized by all states)The ruling Va must reconize this marriage would then by the supremacy clause become a law making gay marrige legal
