This is a very scary midterm election for our LGBT community.Especially with the house & senate up for grabs. To remain
nonpartisan is challenging with the republicans' voting record
in opposition of our LGBT civil rights. So the issue we have to
consider is not whether to vote democratic or republican but to
take under consideration whether the candidates are pro-choice
& pro-LGBT equality. Just because a candidate is a democrat does
not guarantee that he or she will support our LGBT civil rights.
With that in mind it is essential to make the right decision. Log
Cabin Executive Director R. Clarke Cooper stated, “Log Cabin
Republicans is fortunate to stand at this point in history, part of
a Republican Party which recognizes the need for inclusion & unity
around core conservative values." The thing that is always a concern
is that politicians will promise anything to get elected. For example
when Mitt Romney ran for governor in Massachusetts he promised
our community he was in our corner & then turned against us. The
crucial decision is yours. It's Important to Get OUT & Vote!!

You have to remember it’s not just about a lesser of two evils. Depending on which race you’re looking at whether congressional or senatorial, the democrats have tried. Maybe they have not succeeded to the point where we wanted them to but if you think about the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” vote in the senate 56 democratic senators voted for getting rid of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, zero republicans did. The same thing on health care reform and all of the other progressive items that have gotten through in the last few years. The republicans have been the party of no.
