Romney’s campaign is reading the polls and noticing a decided trend in the poll numbers. The American people are getting more and more used to and less and less opposed to LGBT equality – from opposing Don't Ask Don't Tell to supporting civil unions and even marriage. Within the next several years, we expect to see the numbers of Americans supporting same-gender marriage increase significantly. Any smart politician knows that tomorrow's voters are much more comfortable with LGBT equality than they were in the past. Ergo- If you want to court younger or more open minded Americans, candidates MUST move left on LGBT rights.
