Zeke Stokes New GLAAD VP

Our good friend Zeke Stokes who we worked with for years during the successful fight to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” has been appointed Vice President of Programs at GLAAD, the nation's LGBT media advocacy organization. In this role Stokes will oversee GLAAD's advocacy work to advance the stories of LGBT people that lead to positive cultural change in the United States & abroad. He will lead a staff of media professionals in both Los Angeles & New York City in GLAAD's Entertainment Media, News Media & Spanish-Language Departments. Stokes will also lead GLAAD's transgender, sports, international & youth initiatives. He will launch GLAAD's Southern Stories program & will continue GLAAD's Commentator Accountability Project, which works with local & national media outlets to hold anti-LGBT activists accountable. Sarah Kate Ellis GLAAD President & CEO stated, "While legal equality continues ahead at full speed, GLAAD's work to advance & change the culture here & abroad is needed more than ever. We are thrilled to have Zeke's passion & expertise as we expand GLAAD's impact in the areas of our country & the world where work still needs to be done to move hearts & minds to side with equality."
