Trans Military Under Attack Again

Trump & Pence are at it again attempting to ban our transgender community from military service. Trump signed a memorandum on Friday that bans most transgender individuals from serving in the U.S. military but gives the armed forces some latitude in implementing policies. This current action is in defiance of four different challenges in federal courts that have blocked Trump’s ban on open transgender military service from going into effect declaring it appears to be unconstitutional. Trump & Secretary of Defense Mattis’ efforts to modify the implementation of this discriminatory policy does not make it any less unconstitutional. We are calling this what it is – an attempt to legitimize an unwarranted & unnecessary attack that targets individuals who have volunteered their lives in support of this country. A vast majority of this country affirms that transgender individuals should be allowed to serve.
