Washington Trans Visibility March

Thousands are expected to attend this historic National Trans Visibility March in Washington, D.C. on Saturday September 28th. Members of the transgender, gender non-conforming & non-binary communities from major metropolitan cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Memphis, New York, San Francisco, Boston & more will take a major stand against hate & discrimination when they rally in the nation’s capital together with their allies calling for equal rights, physical safety & demanding the transgender communities be officially & federally recognized across every state department within this nation. Marissa Miller, National Organizing Director of the Trans March on DC stated, “We are marching in solidarity in support of the passing of the Equality Act & inclusion for the Trans community. We encourage all to #March4TransEquality while demanding justice for those whose lives were taken through senseless acts of violence & murders.” Angelica Ross, activist & star of FX’s POSE & American Horror Story 1984 & Alphonso David, President of the Human Rights Campaign are scheduled to speak at the Equality Rally for visibility, inclusion & justice for the transgender community. Additional speakers include Marissa Miller (National Organizing Director of the NTVM), Tiq Milan (Public Speaker, Trans Men of Excellence), Carter Brown, Masen Davis(FFAA), Earline Budd (Changes In Landscape), Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen, Bamby Salcedo, Lynn Morrisonwith & more. The National Trans Visibility March will begin at 9A at Freedom Plaza, located at the corner of 14th Street & Pennsylvania Avenue NW adjacent to Pershing Park in Washington D. C.
