The Equality Act (H.R. 5) has been reintroduced by Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) & Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR). This national legislation will finally establish a minimum standard of civil rights protections for our LGBTQ community, people of faith, people of color, women & people with disabilities. Every day that passes without the Equality Act means our nation’s laws are woefully lagging behind our basic ideals of equality & fairness.
