National Black Justice Collective Grants
By Charlotte Robinson, December 12, 2025
The National Black Justice Collective announced their 2025 Benevolence Grants as attacks on LGBTQ youth intensify nationwide this year’s Benevolence cohort represents a powerful affirmation of communal care, mutual aid & collective responsibility. Dr. David J. Johns, CEO & Executive Director of the National Black Justice Collective stated, “In the face of these escalating attacks, Benevolence grantees continue to show up for our babies, providing safe havens, affirming spaces, leadership development, emergency support, housing, mental health care, & so much more. While extremists target us with denial of fundamental human rights & political threats to freedoms, these Benevolence organizations are providing what our young people need through safety, community & love. Investing in them is how we protect our future & ensure Black LGBTQ+/SGL youth not only survive, but flourish.” NBJC’s 2025 Benevolence
