Wicked Blue Victory Across America

By Charlotte Robinson, November 04, 2026

Finally we wake up to election results that reflect the people’s vote instead of the billionaires. The pendulum has swung back to the good & away from the evil. Across America voters have rejected efforts to scapegoat minorities especially our LGBTQ citizens for political gain. Pro-equality candidates prevailed in critical races & more openly LGBTQ leaders earned the opportunity to serve their communities. We can all take a deep breath of relieve now that hate-based opponents have finally been defeated who tried to weaponize misinformation & fear proving that value-based messages rooted in equality, freedom & dignity can win. I attended the Wicked Blue Mass Dems celebration in Boston last night cheering on Governor Maura Healey’s second term win. Healey stated, “When I was first elected as Governor 4 years ago, I made a promise: to wake up every single day & work hard for the people of Massachusetts & I've kept it. I'm the first woman & LGBTQ+ person ever elected Governor in the great state of Massachusetts. I'm proud of the work we've done to make Massachusetts the #1 state in education, health care, innovation & for working parents. But there is still so much more work to be done. I’m excited to have you by my side while we do it.” Kelley Robinson HRC President concluded, “Tonight voters delivered a resounding message: equality wins… In a historic rebuke, voters didn’t just reject LGBTQ+ hate, they have elected a historic number of LGBTQ+ elected officials. Chris Pappas is the first-ever out gay man elected to the U.S. Senate & JoAnna Mendoza, Cait Conley & Jeremy Moss will join Sarah McBride, who won by a huge margin, in the U.S. House & that’s just the start.”
