Jewel of Paris Musical Revue

Jewel of Paris is a celebration of Paris in song & spectacle music by master composer Scrumbly Koldewyn that begins previews March 12th & opens Thursday March 19th at The Hypnodrome in San Francisco for a limited engagement of 24 performances presented by Thrillpeddlers. Inspired by the artistic revolution erupting in Paris nearly a century ago, Jewels of Paris is a tuneful, time-traveling testament that revels in love, life, artistic, social & sexual change seen through the eyes & ears of Parisian luminaries including Pierrot, Picasso, Cocteau, Josephine Baker & even Marie Antoinette. Revues are a combination of song, dance, spectacle & sketches originated in Paris in the late 19th century & soon traveled to Broadway via the Ziegfeld Follies. The revue genre is a Thrillpeddlers specialty. The musical stars, in many roles, include: Lisa McHenry, Christine Kim, Kim Larsen, Roxanne Redmeat, Bruna Palmeiro, Hayley Nystrom, Dee Nathaniel, Andrew Darling, Steven Satyricon, Michael Soldier, Tim Kay, Andy Wegner, Diogo Zavadzki, J Iness, Birdie-Bod Watt, Noah Haydon, Jack Crow & accompanist Scrumbly Koldewyn. Additional credits include Russell Blackwood Director / Producer, Scrumbly Koldewyn Composer/ Lyrics /Music, Director/Writer Rob Keefe, Alex Kinney Writer/Dramaturg, Andy Wenger Writer/ Performer, & additional lyrics by Martin Worman. Jewel of Paris runs March 12th to May 2nd at The Hypnodrome 575 10th Street in San Francisco. Tickets are $30 for general admission or $35 for front row “Shock Boxes” & “Turkish Lounges” seats.
