Vanity Fair has revealed the cover of their July cover with the first photo of Caitlyn Jenner formerly known as Bruce. The photo was shot by openly gay photographer Annie Leibovitz & will hit the issue hits newsstands on Tuesday June 9th. The article is written by Pulitzer Prize–winning contributing editor & author of "Friday Night Lights" Buzz Bissinger. Jenner stated to Bissinger, “If I was lying on my deathbed & I had kept this secret & never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’ Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out I’m free.” Of course the interview & the photos are timed to coincide with the former athlete’s new reality show. The new television show will appear on E! Network in an eight episode series that will debut on July 26th. Jenner will be an executive producer of the series along with Bunim/Murray Productions which also produces the "Kardashians." Jeff Olde, an executive vice president at E!, called Jenner an inspiration & stated, "We are proud to be entrusted with this deeply personal & important story." Caitlyn Jenner will have another big debut July 15th at the ESPYs when the Olympian will be presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. So we now enter another level of a conversation long overdue for our transgender & LGBT community.
