Fran Drescher Honored In Los Angeles

Actress Fran Drescher will be honored with the 2,822nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday September 30th at 11:30A PT at 6623 Hollywood Boulevard, LA. Drescher will receive her star in the Motion Pictures category. Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer stated, “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Fran Drescher to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fran has not only brought laughter & joy to millions through her unforgettable work on screen, but she has also shown tremendous strength & dedication as a leader for her fellow performers. We are thrilled to honor her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for both her artistic achievements & her tireless advocacy as SAG-AFTRA President.” Fran rose to international stardom for her portrayal as the loveable Fran Fine on the hit series “The Nanny” which she both co-created & executive produced. A 23-year cancer survivor Fran is also the founder & visionary of the Cancer Schmancer Movement. A non-profit dedicated to saving lives through educating, motivating & activating patients into mindful medical consumers. Preventing disease through the promotion of healthy non-toxic lifestyles. Drescher a fierce LGBTQ ally & advocate will also be honored by Equality California the nation's largest statewide LGBTQ civil rights organization at the 2025 Los Angeles Equality Awards on Saturday October 4th at the Fairmont Century Plaza. Drescher will receive the National Labor Leader Award Honoree. The Los Angeles Equality Awards recognizes leaders in the fight for LGBTQ civil rights & social justice & fuels Equality California’s work to advance full, lived equality for all LGBTQ people.
