Just In: GAY MARRIAGE WINS in NH - 198 to 176
The New Hampshire Senate just approved a compromise
gay marriage bill that strengthened the language involving legal
protections for religious institutions & related agencies.The vote
was 14-10 along party lines. The amendment now goes to the House
this afternoon. GAY MARRIAGE WINS in NH - 198 to 176
CONCORD- Hundreds of people gathered at the Statehouse
today just prior to the legislature taking up HB73 - the last bill in a
series of bills necessary to guarantee religious liberties for all Granite
Staters & the freedom to marry for gay & lesbian couples in New

Gay Marriage on November Ballot in CA??

California Secretary of State Debra Bowen said a "random" check of
signatures submitted by the measure's sponsors showed that they
had gathered enough names for gay marriage to be put to voters.
Kate Kendell, executive director of the San Francisco-based National
Center for Lesbian Rights, said gay marriage advocates have already
launched a campaign to defeat the measure."There is just so much @
stake, now, in terms of what kind of state we are going to live in &
what values we are going to uphold," Kendell said. We went through
this in Massachusetts for 3 years. Hang in there....:)
CA Supreme Court Refuses To Stay Ruling Until After November
Election. Marriages begin throughout the state on June 17th. :)
There were 10 states & then 9. New Hampshire Attorney General
Kelly Ayotte announced that the state is withdrawing from participating
with the other states. Ayotte didn't elaborate but New Hampshire's
civil union law says the state will recognize a legal civil union or a
gay marriage from another state as a civil union... :)
So now Attorney generals of 9 states were urging the CA Supreme
Court delay finalizing its ruling to legalize gay marriage. The
homophobic states are Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Michigan,
Nebraska, South Carolina, South Dakota& Utah. The attorney generals
said in court papers filed that they've an interest in the case because
they'd have to determine if their states would recognize the marriage
of gay residents who wed in California. They wanted the court to stay
its ruling until after the November election. California Attorney General
Jerry Brown urged the court not to grant the stay saying “The matter
has now been resolved by the State Supreme Court.”
CA Gay Marriage is still slated to begin June 17th.....:)
A new California poll favors gay marriage by a margin of 51% to 42%.
Voters oppose the idea of changing the California State Constitution
to define marriage as between a man & a woman. So with all the
noise about getting an amendment on the CA November ballot to
overturn the CA State Supreme Court Ruling, this poll reinforces
that such a measure would be defeated..... :) Poll Details.....

Massachusetts Should Abolish 1913 Law

JULY UPDATE: The State House will address this bill this month.
With all the noise we made about the bill since May it's great to
think that perhaps our efforts were heard & acted on.....:)
When gay marriage became the law in Massachusetts the opponents
quickly enforced an obscure 1913 law that prohibits out-of-state
residents from marrying in the Bay State. Of course this was during
the Romney administration. In 2007 Deval Patrick was elected as
Massachusetts' first Afro-American Governor. The true irony is that
this 1913 law was put on the books to prevent interracial marriages.
The fact that the law remains is a total disgrace.....
Let's discuss the bottom line. By keeping this law Massachusetts
is losing 100 million dollars in yearly revenues by not allowing
out-of-state gay marriages. This means that since 2004 when gay
marriage became legal we've already lost @ least 400 million $$$
if not more.....Now let's address the national gay marriage scene.
New York has ruled that they'll honor gay marriages from other
states & countries. When gay marriage becomes legal in a few
weeks in California they'll allow out-of-state gay couples to marry.
If you're on the east coast wouldn't you rather take the short trip
to Massachusetts then travel across the entire country to tie
the knot ??? Updates to Come...... :)

Lesbian Girls Gone Wild in P-Town (Audio) '09

Memorial Day Weekend brings thousands of young lesbian hotties to Provincetown. In this audio byte Humorist Kate Clinton refers to it as the "Bud Lite Weekend" & compares the partying to the infamous Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs.

This year I'm sure they'll all be dancing to Lady Gaga....:)

The phenomena appears to be the last hurrah for lesbian coeds before they return home to Mom & Dad for the summer. They fill Commercial Street walking arm & arm or carrying cases of beer to their rented domains which are filled to capacity....
They're hot, proud, absolutely adorable & stylishly trendy.....:) Update from Kate Clinton: "And the style this year seems to be bikini tops, with low slung multipocketed pants, lots of belly button accessorizing, red drinking cups and baseball caps. It's 58 degrees and rainy, but they are undaunted, and blue lipped. And cute - and I know they want me......;)....."

Gay Couples Seek Marriage Advice.... :)

In Massachusetts where gay marriage has been the law for the last 4 years we have seen couples who have been together for decades getting married & receiving statewide protections for their families. This is Fabulous & long overdue! The downside of gay marriage is couples getting wrapped up in the moment & finding themselves in situations that are dissolved because they didn't take the time to fully address what they were getting into. We just suggest that CA gay couples planning to marry chat with a lawyer or counselor & get the facts about your State's marriage laws before tying the knot. It could save you a lot of $ & grief in the long run...Updates to come :)
