Toronto: Openly Gay Canadian Rock Icon, Carole Pope, 3 time Juno Award winner, Indie Hall of Fame inductee & the best selling author of "Anti Diva", will be performing at "Buddies in Bad Times Theatre" on November 27th. From her band "Rough Trade" to Pope's most recent solo album "Transcend" she has swaggered & crooned her way into the hearts of audiences around the globe. Carole Pope recently appeared in Rob Stefaniuk's rock & roll vampire movie "Suck", premiering at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. Part of the proceeds of the concert will go to "Buddies" the non-profit org that has become one of North America's premiere synthesis between so-called gay culture & modern theatre. She'll be joined by her band consisting of Tim Welch guitar, Chris Lamont drums, Mike Borksky bass & Pope on vocals. Lily Frost, the opening act, will join Carole to premiere a new song "God=Love" about LGBT rights & the religious right. If you’re in the Toronto area this is a must-be-seen-at-event...:)
