Equality Forum Honoring Canada

Equality Forum 2014 takes place May 1st to May 4th in Philadelphia. Equality Forum presents annually the largest & premier national & international LGBT civil rights summit with over 30 programs, parties & special events. This year Canada is Equality Forum's International focus. Malcolm Lazin, Executive Director, Equality Forum stated, “We are delighted to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of marriage equality in Canada at the 22nd annual Equality Forum. It is an opportunity to learn from same sex marriage experience of our nation's closest ally." Equality Forum is a national & international LGBT civil rights organization with a focus on education. Equality Forum 2014 will include a National Politics Panel, National Religious Colloquy, International Workplace Panel, National Legal Panel & Featured Nation Panel, among other programming. There is no registration fee & all substantive programs are free. The International Equality Dinner will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at the National Museum of American Jewish History on Independence Mall. PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane will receive the Distinguished Equality Award. TD Bank is the recipient of the International Business Leadership Award & the National Hockey League (NHL) & Burke Family will receive the 19th annual International Role Model Award. There are also lots of dance parties, entertainment & just basic fun events. SundayOUT! will be held on May 4th at The Piazza in Northern Liberties.
