SAGE Welcomes New Board Members

SAGE the world’s largest & oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ elders has welcomed Darrell Burks, Sue Wilder, Teresa J. Verges & Zak Karim to its national Board of Directors. Michael Adams SAGE CEO stated, “We are grateful to have these incredible leaders joining the SAGE board, enhancing our mission with their invaluable wisdom & experiences. Their generous spirits & dedication to LGBTQ+ elders will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the SAGE community.” Darrell Burks added, “I am so grateful to be elected to the Board of Directors of SAGE, an organization devoted to assuring the betterment of the lives of all LGBTQ+ elders. I look forward to contributing to Board’s vision & strategic planning in supporting our philanthropic growth & services throughout Miami-Dade & Broward counties communities.” Sue Wilder stated, “I look forward to help expand SAGE’s mission to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ elders in South Florida & across the country. Our elders are not invisible.”
Teresa J. Verges added, “SAGE is advocating for our rights to age with dignity, have equal access to vital services & to celebrate our diversity & community. I look forward to working with my fellow board members to help SAGE grow its services network & advocacy at the state & national level.” Zak Karim concluded, “I am truly humbled to be given the opportunity to serve on SAGE’s Board of Directors & I look forward to advancing the amazing work the organization does to positively impact our elder LGBTQ+ community.” For More Info…
