Great news, Charlotte!
Two Victories in the Legislature!
After years of focused lobbying by MGLPC and constituents, the Massachusetts House passed the 1913 Repeal by a vote of 118 to 35. This is an historic vote for the LGBT community and marriage equality - not just in Massachusetts but nationwide.
Once Governor Patrick signs the bill into law, same-sex couples may come from any state to be married in Massachusetts. This victory makes it more likely other states will eventually achieve marriage equality.
In the meantime, let your out-of-state friends know the Welcome mat is out in Massachusetts! Forward this email to them. Share the good news - it's time to start planning.
