Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & Transgender Youth (BAGLY) “Out For Youth Event” is happening Saturday May 4th at the Museum of Science in Boston from 7P to 10P. Special celebrity guests for the evening are Academy Award Winner Dustin Lance Black & Stuart Milk, LGBT rights activist, philanthropist & nephew to the late great Harvey Milk.
Dustin who won the Oscar for his screenplay "MILK" is also a fantastic advocate for LGBTQ youth. He & Stuart will be receiving BAGLY's "Queer Activist College Honorary Degree." Grace Sterling Stowell, BAGLY Executive Director stated, "All of us at BAGLY are excited to be celebrating 33 years of providing youth leadership, health promotion & support programs led by & for LGBTQ youth. We are especially thrilled to be honoring Stuart Milk and Dustin Lance Black, who have done so much to honor & continue Harvey Milk's outstanding work & legacy on behalf of our community." The evening hosted by Neal Minahan, Robert Vigneau & Philip Daoust will be celebrate the work of BAGLY, the achievements of the LGBT youth leaders in our community, the presentation of the 2013 Queer Activist College Honorary Degrees & more. Enjoy substantial hors d'oeuvres, great libations & good company. By attending this fabulous event you will be helping LGBTQ youth from the Boston area & across the state by supporting BAGLY programs such as BAGLY's Speaker's Bureau, BAGLY's Clinic@620, Weekly support meetings, BAGLY's stewardship of the LGBT Youth Group Network of MA & their fabulous BAGLY Prom.
The Museum of Science is located at 1 Science Park, Boston & there will be free parking.
