Boston LGBT Film Festival's Horror Night

By Charlotte Robinson, October 24, 2011
Halloween is right around the corner & the Boston LGBT Film Festival knows that the best part of Halloween is to be scared out of your wits! So Tonight Oct. 24th at 8P at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge they’re presenting the East Coast debut of the acclaimed UK thriller UNHAPPY BIRTHDAY as part of the Brattle Theatre’s CineCache Series. If you're a fan of the original THE WICKER MAN or HAMMER HOUSE OF HORROR this is the Halloween event for you. Mike Matthews & Mark Harriott’s debut feature film is a sexy, creepy, queer thrill ride set in the British countryside. UNHAPPY BIRTHDAY is led by a young British cast, including TV hunk David Paisley (Holby City, Casualty) Jill Riddiford (Our Friends in the North), Christina De Vallee & Jonathan Keane, with a cameo by trash horror legend David McGillivray. CineCache is presented by the Brattle Theatre & the Chlotrudis Society for Independent Film. UNHAPPY BIRTHDAY is also co-presented by the Boston Underground Film Festival. Dare to be There!! :)

To kick off Halloween week join the Boston LGBT Film Festival for a very special screening of a new British horror film UNHAPPY BIRTHDAY Monday October 24th at 8P at the Brattle Theatre, Cambridge. Mike Matthews & Mark Harriott’s debut feature film is a sexy, creepy, queer thrill ride set in the British countryside. British TV hunk David Paisley co-stars in the horror tale about a young man and his secret gay lover who conspire to surprise their friend Sadie on her birthday. Arriving for their getaway on the remote isle of Amen, Rick, Jonny and Sadie meet the mysterious Corinne. This wild queer British thriller has been compared to such cult classics as THE WICKER MAN and LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH!
