As we head into the New Year & prepare for tax season there will be an LGBT financial & estate planning event on January 14th at Bella Luna & the Milky Way in Boston, MA.
Rockland Trust Investment Management Group is presenting "After DOMA: LGBT Financial & Estate Planning in a Post DOMA World" hosted by Damon C. Barglow, CFA, CFP ® at Rockland Trust IMG with special guest speaker Scott E. Squillace, Esq., author of “Whether to Wed”. Scott’s book is must-read for legally married gay & lesbian couples & those that are thinking about tying the knot. “Whether To Wed” delves into the complex details that gay & lesbian couples as well as their tax & estate planners need to know. Scott Squillace is a Certified Legacy Advisor of The Sunbridge Legacy Institute, a member of The Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Committee & Co-Chair of its Equality Fund an Endowment for the LGBT Community. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Boston Estate Planning Council & is a member of the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association, Pride Planners, the Massachusetts Bar Association & Boston Bar Association where he currently co-chairs its Estate Planning Fundamentals Committee. At the January 14th event there will be cocktails & appetizers starting at 5:30P followed by a seminar & book signing.
