WIFVNE & Lesley University Event

Women in Film & Video New England (WIFVNE) in partnership with Lesley Art + Design’s Digital Film Department presents "Networking with the Pros" an evening of mentoring & networking on Tuesday March 3rd at Lesley's University Hall, Room L-030, 1815 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, MA from 5:30P to 8:30P. The event will begin with a networking opportunity to meet other WIFVNE members, non-members, students & professionals in the field. Then WIFVNE President Alecia Orsini will conduct a Production Workshop addressing best practices for entry level employment to be followed by a mentoring panel moderated by Ingrid Stobbe WIFVNE Board member & Lesley faculty member. The panel will include broadcast & digital producer Nicole Hollis-Vitale who has worked at creating numerous TV commercials, videos & integrated campaigns, Julie Kahn post production editor for PBS's Masterpiece at WGBH in Boston, Kristen Kearns, COO / Executive Producer at Element who oversees everything from business affairs to client relations & Heather MacDonald who co-wrote the Emmy Award-winning and Sundance Audience Award-winning documentary Jim: The James Foley Story (HBO). This is an opportunity to meet other WIFVNE members, non-members, students & professionals in the field for professional insights, career wisdom & networking. Light refreshments will be served. This event is expected to sell out & tickets are $10 for non WIFVNE members & $5 for WIFVNE Members. Lesley University's Office of Community Engagement & Rule Boston Camera are producing the event.
