New York GLAAD Media Awards March 24th

It’s that time of year when GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) recognizes & honors the media for their fair, accurate & inclusive representations of our LGBT community with their annual media awards. The first presentation takes place in NYC on Saturday, March 24th. This year Film & Broadway producers Craig Zadan & Neil Meron (Chicago, Hairspray, Smash) will receive the Vito Russo Award. Glee's Naya Rivera & Cory Monteith will host the event. Guests include: Dakota Fanning (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2); Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope); Megan Hilty (Smash); Ellen Barkin (The New Normal); Gilles Marini (Switched at Birth); Carson Kressley (Dancing with the Stars); Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef); MSNBC's Thomas Roberts; Kim Wayans (Pariah); Vinny Guadagnino (Jersey Shore); Ted Allen (Chopped); Tracey Gold (Starving Secrets with Tracey Gold); Laverne Cox (Musical Chairs); Jay Manuel, Isis King (America's Next Top Model); Janet Mock (People.com); Emil Wilbekin (Essence.com); Chris Geidner (Metro Weekly) & GLAAD Acting President Mike Thompson. More celebrities to be announced. The event takes place at the Marriott Marquis: 1535 Broadway in NYC. We’ll be there on the Red Carpet interviewing everyone for OUTTAKE VOICES™. Additional GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will take place in Los Angeles on April 21 at the Westin Bonaventure & in San Francisco on June 2 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
