Anti Gay Scott Lively Heads To Court

By Charlotte Robinson, January 07, 2013
One of the most notorious anti gay evangelist hate mongers is headed to court today to try to dismiss a lawsuit for his actions in inciting anti-gay efforts in Uganda. Scott Lively was among U.S. evangelicals who visited Uganda in 2009 advocating violence against gays which resulted in the “Kill The Gays” legislation that is still pending in Uganda. Last month Pope Benedict XVI blessed the speaker of the Uganda Parliament Rebecca Kadaga after she lobbied for the country’s anti-gay bill that originally called for the death penalty for some gay acts. Remember she’s the homophobe who vowed to pass the controversial measure as a "XMAS gift" at the Vatican on Dec. 13th when meeting with Pope Bias while she was attending a human rights conference. One of the biggest supporters of the anti gay bill is American pastor Scott Lively who has visited Uganda several times in order to promote the measure. Many observers believe he co-wrote the bill & was the impetus behind it. The Center for Constitutional Rights filed the lawsuit last year against Scott Lively of the Redemption Gate Mission Society in Springfield, Massachusetts for what the group says has been a decade-long campaign to persecute gays in Uganda. U.S. District Judge Michael Ponsor is scheduled to hear arguments Monday on Lively’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit. Rev. John Makokha, senior pastor of Riruta United Methodist Church in Nairobi in Kenya which is a faith-based LGBTI organization addresses Fundamentalist Christian Leaders from America who have been transporting homophobia to Africa in our 2010 Exclusive Audio Interview:

We need to stop this kind of hate speech, and one good way is to strip hate groups of their ability to raise tax free donations by redefining what a charity is, or isn't. Please sign my petition to stop funding hate; http://www.thepetitionsite.com/783/478/762/stop-the-funding-for-hate-groups/
